1980's custom home badly in need of an update

The young couple that purchased this home loved the floor plan and the neighborhood, but really wanted the home to reflect their fun, dynamic personalities. Together, we worked to create their vision by replacing all interior doors and all window trim, and painting all walls and existing cabinetry in the home. Beautiful walnut wood flooring was installed in the living room, family room/kitchen and hallways. The entire stairway was rebuilt, using walnut treads and handrail and iron balusters. The master bath was completely redone with new shower, cabinetry, flooring and lighting. The brick on the front of the original fireplace was removed, and a new floor to ceiling stacked brick fireplace was built in its place. The addition of built-in shelving on both sides of the fireplace makes this room fun and functional.
Note: Original oak cabinets, that were out of style, were repainted using a gloss enamel to give them a clean, new updated life. The end result is a true reflection of the vibrant young owners.
